Corrieshalloch Gorge #1
This is the suspension bridge over the Corrieshalloch Gorge, just south of Ullapool. If - like me - you're utterly terrified of heights, this probably isn't a place for you (which might make you question why I'd choose to go, and the answer is that it wasn't entirely my idea). The bridge is about 200 feet above the ground - and it's very little, and it sways, and there's a sign on it saying "no more than six people on the bridge at once", all of which did nothing to alleviate my terror. B choosing to rock it while I was standing on it was also not terribly helpful! *shudder*
In other news, I've just recovered 1.4TB of data after a disk drive in my server failed, including my entire photo library. The moral of this story is please, please take backup seriously. Music and films you can get back, but you can't go back in time and take a photo a second time. It's taken me a few days to sort it all out, but other than time, I'm relieved to say that I've lost absolutely nothing (that I've yet noticed).
In other, other news, the Arseblog (PNSFW) book goes on general sale today, to which I'm delighted to say I'm a contributor. I suspect it'll sell out very quickly, but if you have an Arsenal fan in your life, it'd make a perfect Christmas gift!
